Final decision, GIC 2021 is cancelledWe, the Swedish GIC team, have had an extra intensive week looking into all possible aspects enable to conclude if moving forward with GIC 2021.
Even if we are hopeful about the improvement of the Pandemic situation, the economic realities are anything but hopeful and involves huge risks. This is mainly due to the big number of cancellations and difficulties to shrink the deal with the venue.
Therefore, we find it impossible to perform a GIC 2021 in Sweden and we have decided to cancel the event.
Since we are cancelling the event, we will provide all registered participants with a full refund. All the refunding would be handled individually with all of you, so we ask you to have patience with us.
The refunding will be handled during the month of June. We can also assure you that the participants bank information for receiving money from abroad will be handled safely. It is the same type of data we used on our invoices from our part. It is however impossible for us to compensate for any fluctuation on the currency exchange market. We ask for your understanding in this.
We really have tried every possible way to make GIC 2021 happen and would like to express our gratitude for all the support we received during these challenging times.
