Alistair Hawkes, MA, LPC was raised with the understanding of the body/mind connection, and through the influence of early biofeedback education and training (since she was 12), she developed some useful self-regulation skills and tools that she now teaches to clients in her Empowerment Psychotherapy: Pathways to Wholeness practice. She enjoys working with people of all ages, and appreciates collaborating with educators, families, and adults in a variety of community settings. Although she is trained in traditional clinical and somatic psychology and draws from over 25 years of study in subtle energies and energy medicine, she has been deeply influenced by many spiritual traditions such as Christianity, Native American culture and ceremonies, Hinduism, and Buddhism and she currently uses the tools of Breathwork and the HIKE4evolution system to help clients empower themselves and level-up their lives. Alistair has a Master of Arts degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University (2009), an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) credential from the State of Colorado, and has extensive education in mindfulness, in subtle energies and energy medicine academics, and consciousness studies. She is a Certified Clarity Breathwork practitioner, as well as a HIKE4Evolution Neurofeedback and Stress Response Mastery educator. Alistair has walked the Red Road since 1998, has been a Hatha Yoga teacher since 2006, and uses her inner compass to guide her in her work with students and clients. Between 2015-2019 Alistair taught over 2,500 elementary school classes (more than 1,200 classroom hours) to 2,000 students and teachers, she served on the Jefferson Center for Mental Health Speaker’s Bureau 2016-2019, and has given many mental health-focused talks at numerous public schools, churches, and community events. Services Alistair offers to students and clients are active, and advanced skill-building practices which are joyfully taught to people at all levels who have a true desire to grow and change and will put efforts towards using the tools provided. Among other things, Alistair enjoys hiking in nature, travel, family adventures, gardening, reading, singing and dancing.
