Our home for GIC 2027
GIC 2027 will take place on the Maremma coast of Tuscany, just outside the picturesque seaside town of Castiglione della Pescaia.Riva del Sole Resort & Spa sits in a pineta—a coastal pine forest characteristic of the region—directly beside the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our memories of GIC 2027 will carry the scent of the pines and views of the open horizon over the crystalline Tuscan sea.
At GIC 2027, we will live like a small village. Everything we need is close by, yet we are fully immersed in nature. The workshop spaces, accommodation, restaurants, beach and places to rest are all within the resort. This is a particularly beautiful time of year on the Maremma coast. The strongest summer heat has passed, but the days are still warm, clear and sunny. The sea will be warm enough for swimming, and the autumn light gifts beautiful sunsets across the water.
Staying at Riva del Sole
The hotel rooms are bright and comfortable, with modern facilities. Some look towards the sea, while others open onto balconies or gardens surrounded by the pine forest.
Alongside the hotel rooms, there are apartments and villas within the grounds. These options offer different possibilities for staying alone or sharing accommodation with a partner, family or friends or colleagues. More information about the available room combinations and prices can be found here.
Everything is connected by paths through the resort, making it easy to move between your room, the workshops, shared meals and time outdoors.
Time outside the workshops
Riva del Sole has three swimming pools, with both seawater and freshwater options. There is also a long private beach where we can begin the day with a swim, take a walk after a session or simply sit together and watch the sun set over the sea.
Between our schedule, there will be time to enjoy the nature, the pineta and the sea, to rest and to visit the spa. Our hope is that, beyond the sessions, the natural surroundings, the paths, the trees, shared meals and time beside the sea will all become part of the experience—a place to breathe, reflect and share this time together.
Workshop spaces
The workshop rooms are located within the resort’s conference centre. There are eight rooms of different sizes, all with natural light, giving us space for larger gatherings as well as smaller workshops..
