When respiratory biodynamics is free, normalized, and organic, I say that it is the mother of all medicines.
The breathing of a baby, before and after the crawling stage (6-12 months), follows a complete and simultaneous respiratory pattern—that is, their abdominal and thoracic cavities expand in all six directions at the same time.
Saying that breathing for people is merely an abdominal respiratory pattern is entirely artificial and lays the foundation for multiple pathologies. There is no doubt about it.
Breathing cannot be artificially segmented (such as exclusively abdominal, intercostal, or thoracic breathing), as this would disrupt the body's natural continuity in its relationship with the world.

CRITIQUE OF ARTIFICIAL BREATHING
Breathing cannot be artificially segmented (such as exclusively abdominal, intercostal, or thoracic breathing), as this would disrupt the body's natural continuity in its relationship with the world.
This is because:
• The body is not experienced as isolated parts, but as a dynamic, complete, and unified whole.
• Breathing is a global act, not just a mechanical process, but also a relational and perceptual experience.
• From a respiratory biomechanics perspective, air does not simply enter the lungs; rather, posture affects respiratory biodynamics, which in turn influences energy, emotions, and time perception.
Therefore, imposing artificial and unnatural breathing patterns that restrict respiratory biodynamics solely to the abdomen, the diaphragmatic region, only to the chest, or in two or three phases creates a disconnection from the body's organic and holistic experience.
