HOW I WORK:

My website: www.atme-wesentlich.de

My work is grounded in trauma-sensitive, body-based breathwork with a strong focus on safety, nervous system regulation, and integration.

Over the years, I have explored and practiced a wide range of breathwork approaches. This has allowed me to continuously refine and evolve my own way of working, rather than following a fixed method. I integrate elements from conscious connected breathing, BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System®, somatic practices, meditation, and nervous system education.

Knowledge about trauma, self-regulation, and the autonomic nervous system informs how I prepare, guide, and integrate each session—especially in group settings. What distinguishes my work is a clear, attuned holding of the space: depth without pressure, intensity without overwhelm.

I see breathwork as a process of listening to the body and supporting it to move toward regulation and integration in its own time. The breathwork session itself is only one part of the process; preparation and integration are equally important for safety, depth, and sustainable change.

Key elements I use in sessions

Conscious Connected Breathing
Deep, connected, and continuous breathing activates the nervous system and allows access to stored tension and held patterns in the body.

Somatic Movement & Neurogenic Tremoring
Gentle, organic movement supports the release of held energy. Neurogenic tremoring, inspired by TRE®, may naturally arise and support the discharge of deeper tension.

Touch & Energy Work
Conscious touch and body- and energy-based support can accompany the breath process, helping participants feel held, supported, and regulated on physical and energetic levels.

Sound & Vocal Expression
Sound helps to soften and loosen internal holding patterns. Toning, music, and live instrumental sounds support release, emotional expression, and integration.

Emotional Integration
Emotions and body tension are closely linked. An attuned, balanced approach allows emotions to surface and be integrated through breath and body awareness without overstimulation.

Meditation & Inner Witness
Meditation frames the beginning and end of each session. It supports the development of an inner observer and helps integrate experiences with awareness and presence.

Brain Retraining
Brain retraining elements support a shift out of chronic stress and threat patterns, fostering greater safety, connection, and clarity through new neural pathways.

Vagus Nerve Support
Gentle vagal stimulation helps the nervous system access states of rest, regulation, and self-soothing, supporting autonomic balance.

Somatic Awareness
Somatic awareness practices build the capacity to stay present with sensations and emotions—whether pleasant or challenging—and to experience regulation from within.
