Kharma Lindsey
Founder & Lead Teacher Trainer, Embodied Alchemy Breathwork
Kharma Lindsey, MS, is a clinical psychology professional, interpersonal neurobiology practitioner, somatic facilitator, and educator specializing in the intersection of nervous-system science, embodied experience, breathwork, sound, ceremony, and consciousness.
With a foundation in clinical psychology and interpersonal neurobiology, Kharma brings together contemporary understandings of the brain and nervous system with experiential and earth-centered practices. Her work is rooted in the belief that meaningful transformation occurs when people are supported to reconnect with their own inherent worth, inner healing intelligence, sovereignty, autonomy, and capacity for embodied change.
As the creator of Embodied Alchemy, Kharma trains facilitators and Teacher Trainers to move beyond simply learning techniques toward developing the presence, discernment, relational awareness, and embodied competency required to safely hold transformative spaces.
Her teaching emphasizes experiential learning, nervous-system awareness, co-regulation, coherent field holding, somatic integration, ethical stewardship, and the development of facilitators who can embody the principles they teach.

SELF-DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM The Self-Development Program is the transformational foundation of Embodied Alchemy Teacher Training. Before learning to facilitate another person's process, participants are invited into their own embodied journey of awareness, regulation, healing, and integration. Through breathwork, somatic exploration, sound, ceremony, reflection, and interpersonal practice, students develop the capacity to become increasingly self-aware, regulated, authentic, sovereign, and present. The goal is not simply to learn techniques, but to cultivate the embodied presence required to hold a coherent and compassionate field in which others can safely explore their own experience. Core Developmental Areas 1. Coming Home to the Body Develop embodied awareness and learn to recognize sensations, impulses, emotions, needs, and subtle shifts in the body. Breath becomes a bridge between conscious awareness and the body's innate intelligence. 2. Nervous System Awareness & Regulation Explore the nervous system through an interpersonal neurobiology and trauma-informed lens. Participants learn to recognize activation, shutdown, protective patterns, and the window of tolerance while developing practical skills for returning to regulation. 3. Developing Inner Healing Intelligence Learn to listen to the body and inner experience without immediately trying to fix, analyze, or override it. Students develop trust in the body's capacity to communicate, adapt, process, and move toward greater integration. 4. Emotional Awareness & Alchemy Explore emotions as meaningful information rather than problems to eliminate. Participants practice staying present with emotional experience and learning how breath, movement, sound, and somatic awareness can support its natural movement and integration. 5. Shadow, Pattern & Self-Honesty Examine unconscious patterns, projection, people-pleasing, avoidance, control, self-deception, and behaviors that can move us out of integrity. The emphasis is on curiosity, compassion, accountability, and conscious choice rather than shame. 6. Sovereignty, Boundaries & Consent Develop the ability to recognize personal needs, establish healthy boundaries, communicate clearly, honor consent, and remain connected to one's own agency while deeply respecting the autonomy of others. 7. Authentic Expression Explore voice, breath, movement, sound, and embodied expression as pathways for releasing conditioning and reconnecting with authentic presence. 8. Coherence & the Facilitator Field A central component of the training is learning that **the facilitator is part of the container**. Students learn to cultivate a coherent internal field that is characterized by groundedness, presence, regulation, congruence, and non-reactivity. Through their own regulated nervous system and embodied presence, facilitators create conditions that can support co-regulation with clients. Participants explore how their own: * nervous-system state * breath and physiology * emotional regulation * attention * intention * boundaries * congruence * energetic presence * capacity to remain grounded in intensity can influence the relational field. The intention is not to regulate someone for them, but to develop the capacity to remain sufficiently grounded and coherent that another person can orient toward safety, presence, and regulation within relationship. Students practice remaining present without rescuing, controlling, interpreting, absorbing, or becoming destabilized by another person's experience. 9. Embodied Leadership & Integration The final stage integrates the personal work into everyday life and professional practice. Students examine what it means to lead from embodiment rather than performance and to facilitate from lived experience rather than simply intellectual knowledge. The Self-Development Program portion moves participants through: Awareness → Regulation → Integration → Coherence → Embodiment → Relational Presence → Facilitation The deeper premise is simple: We cannot reliably invite others into a place we have not learned to inhabit ourselves. Embodied Alchemy therefore asks practitioners to become the kind of presence they hope to offe that is grounded without being rigid, open without being porous, compassionate without rescuing, and powerful without overriding another person's sovereignty. The practitioner learns to hold a coherent field, trust the client's inner healing intelligence, and allow the client's process to unfold without imposing an agenda upon it.
Embodied Alchemy Practiitioner Training offers two pathways through the same comprehensive curriculum, allowing students to choose the learning format that best fits their lives and learning style. Both pathways develop the same foundational knowledge, personal embodiment, facilitation skills, and capacity to hold a coherent field for clients. The primary difference is how the curriculum is delivered and paced. 4-MONTH HYBRID + 6-DAY INTENSIVE The hybrid pathway allows students to move through the curriculum over four months of online learning and personal practice, followed by a six-day immersive, hands-on intensive. This is perfect for working individuals. The four-month portion provides space to absorb the material gradually, practice between sessions, engage in personal self-development, and integrate the teachings into everyday life. Weekly learning may include: * Live online instruction * Breathwork and somatic practices * Self-development assignments * Interpersonal neurobiology and nervous-system education * Personal reflection and integration * Group discussion and experiential learning * Facilitation practice and preparation * Ongoing mentorship and community connection At the completion of the hybrid curriculum, students gather for the six-day intensive where the learning moves fully into the body. The intensive provides concentrated hands-on experience with: * Experiencing and facilitating breathwork * Creating and holding a safe container * Nervous-system awareness and tracking * Co-regulation * Developing a coherent facilitator field * Somatic and emotional support * Voice, sound, rhythm, and breath * Consent and boundaries * Responding to what emerges in real time * Integration and facilitation feedback The six-day intensive is where students have the opportunity to practice the work, receive direct feedback, and translate their knowledge into embodied facilitation skills. The training is intentionally designed so that students do not simply learn about breathwork. They experience the work within themselves and develop the internal capacity necessary to responsibly facilitate it for others. At the heart of both pathways is the development of the facilitator's field. Students learn to cultivate a grounded, coherent, regulated presence that can support relational safety and co-regulation. They learn how their own nervous-system state, attention, intention, boundaries, and congruence influence the space they hold. The goal is not to regulate another person or hem, but to become sufficiently present and coherent that a participant can orient toward safety and access their own Inner Healing Intelligence within the relationship. Embodied knowledge. Authentic presence. Skilled facilitation. The capacity to hold a coherent field while honoring the sovereignty and autonomy of every person they serve.
The Embodied Alchemy Teacher Trainer Certification prepares experienced practitioners to teach, mentor, and certify Embodied Alchemy Breathwork Facilitators. Teacher Trainers learn to steward the methodology-not simply deliver information. They develop the ability to teach experientially, model embodied practice, evaluate competency, and hold a coherent learning field where emerging facilitators can develop their own authentic capacity. Core Curriculum delivered in hybrid format 1. Embodied Mastery Deepen understanding of Embodied Alchemy philosophy, the five core pillars, breathwork, somatics, nervous-system education, sound and vibration, ceremony, energetic architecture, consent, sovereignty, and ethical practice. 2. The Art of Teaching Learn experiential and adult-learning principles, effective NVC based instruction, demonstration, group facilitation, discussion, integration, and adapting teaching to different learners without compromising the core methodology. 3. Holding the Learning Field Develop the capacity to create a grounded, coherent, responsive learning environment that supports safety, co-regulation, authentic participation, and embodied learning. 4. Mentorship & Feedback Learn to observe developing facilitators, identify strengths and growth edges, provide clear developmental feedback, and support students toward confidence, discernment, and competency. 5. Competency & Certification Learn to assess facilitator readiness based on demonstrated embodiment and skill including safety, presence, nervous-system awareness, somatic attunement, breathwork facilitation, ethics, boundaries, consent, and integration. 6. Stewardship & Ethics Explore power, boundaries, teacher-student dynamics, accountability, scope of practice, community stewardship, and maintaining the integrity of the Embodied Alchemy methodology. Practicum via experience. Our teacher trainers get hands on teaching experience via co teaching alongside the founder. They learn by doing in hybrid zoom class and hands on teaching at Practitioner Intensives. Teacher Trainer candidates progress through: **Assist → Observe → Teach → Facilitate → Mentor → Assess** Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach the curriculum, facilitate experiential learning, mentor developing facilitators, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain a coherent learning field before receiving independent Teacher Trainer certification. Outcome Graduates are certified to teach the Embodied Alchemy Facilitator Training, mentor emerging facilitators, evaluate competency, and certify practitioners according to established standards. The goal is to cultivate teachers who embody the practice, develop discernment, and become trustworthy stewards of the field.
