Conscious Breathing in the Classroom Workgroup (extended)
Can you imagine a world in which the children learn how to breathe consciously at a very young age and continued throughout their lives? We not only have envisioned this – our team has created a simple program for you as breathworkers to bring conscious breathing into the schools in your home country.
Our intention within the Conscious Breathing in the Classroom (CBC) team is for us to teach teachers, parents and other mentors how to bring 3 – 5 minutes of conscious breathing into the daily lives of school children, teens, team members and adult students. We created this pioneering program after 6 years of background research and launched it at the GIC France in 2018.
The program materials for this training are fun, quick and easy and within hours you will be in a position to be able start sharing it. Who better to teach conscious breathing exercises than breathworkers and lovers of the breath?!
The CBC program is free to IBF members. Once registered (see registration link below) you will receive:
- A 60-page program manual with dozens of easy-to-follow age-specific breathing exercises for a variety of situations in schools and other youth groups. Plus, how to introduce conscious breathing easily into the rhythm of the school day, every day. The manual includes relevant research references and resources for school administrators and teachers, and much more!
- Links to experiential videos of The Core 4 breathing exercises
- A link to a recording of a live 2.5 hour training video. It will take you through all the core material of the manual with space to practice with a partner. You can get started right away!
- Within the manual is a brief Trainers Guide for Breathworkers for those of you who want to go into schools in your home country to train the teachers how to introduce regular conscious breathing into their classes
- You will receive Invitations to periodic free ‘live’ events or livestream trainings from the GICs
The CBC program has been highlighted in international publications, in online breathing summits and news articles. Since its launch, CBC has spread to over 60 countries on 6 continents. The 60-page manual is available in 9 languages with more translation in the works by dedicated volunteers.
Each year at the GIC and on World Breathing Day the CBC team creates accessible in-person or online events for breathworkers, teachers, parents and the general public. Members of the CBC team took it to the UN Civil Societies Conference where dignitaries and everyday folks from around the globe experienced the power of the simple breathing exercises. Several partnerships with international organizations were seeded there and continue to blossom.
Depending on which phases we are at in production of content or organizing events we make periodic call outs to you for volunteer help. We welcome your expertise in online learning platforms (Kajabi), online promotion, social media, translation, script-writing and copy editing. Also, we welcome your strong English written skills and organizational skills for organizing CBC trainers in your home country, plus event planning for livestreams and online events. We are a warm and devoted team (almost like a family) and we welcome your inquiry to get involved. We believe ‘teamwork makes the dreamwork.’
If you feel the call, please connect with us and consider joining this extraordinary journey of the breath with the children, the teachers and parents of the world.
Blessings of the Breath
